SUPPORT WORKER ? MEN?S DOMESTIC ABUSE
LOCATION: Carlow

The candidate will have knowledge and understanding of domestic abuse,
the legal system in relation to domestic abuse, and be aware of
options available to men and their families who are experiencing
domestic abuse.
KNOWLEDGE, EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS REQUIRED
This role will suit motivated person whose values align with that of
Bagenalstown Family Resource Centre. They will need to be empathetic,
non-judgemental and have a willingness to support men and their
families who are experiencing domestic abuse.
THEY WILL HAVE:
* Excellent communication skills
* Good computer literate
* Able to work independently on their own initiative and as part of
a team
* Previous experience key working with vulnerable adults will be an
advantage
* Previous group facilitation experience will be an advantage
* Experience within the area of domestic violence
* Previous experience as a support worker
* A third level qualification in: social studies, social science,
social care or equivalent.
